School History
A legacy of learning in the heart of Holywood
Sullivan Prep is part of the wider Sullivan Upper School community, a school with nearly 150 years of academic excellence and educational heritage.
Originally established to provide a nurturing and high-quality primary education, the Preparatory Department has grown into a vibrant, modern environment that retains its strong traditions. Set within the grounds of Sullivan Upper, our pupils benefit from a unique environment that combines the warmth of a small, caring school with the opportunities of a larger academic institution.
Our location across Dromkeen House and Loughead House offers a sense of continuity and belonging, with pupils enjoying access to specialist facilities and the wider Sullivan Upper campus. Many of our families stay connected to the school for over a decade, with children progressing seamlessly from
Prep into Year 8.
We are proud of our past and excited about the future.
